The Study

A black eight-ball rests on the felt. Look at the centre: the 8 has turned on its side and become ∞.

The ball that usually ends the game becomes a symbol of Amor Fati, the Stoic idea of loving whatever life rolls your way. Win or scratch, it all belongs to the game.

Smoky sepia washes and sharp cross-hatching give it the mood of a late-night club. A conversation piece for a study, a games room or a quiet living room.
